Just One of Those Days......

Today has been a bad day. Not in the anything major has happened way, but the I am a stay at home mom and my kids (and I) woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I tossed and turned all night, Carter woke up at 6am (uggg) and I had NO SPLENDA to fix me a cup of coffee! To turn our day around I thought FAMILY NAP TIME! Which normally works out great. Everyone eats lunch then takes a two hour or so nap, wakes up happy and our day is saved! However that did not happen today. My "big" kids went down great, which is a huge accomplishment since they do not normally take a nap, then there was Elizabeth. My sweet, chubby cheeked, ball of fire decided today was the day she would start climbing out of her crib. I knew this day was coming but not today, not on family nap day! I put her in her crib, kissed her night night, said I love you, shut the door....then BAM! NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Needless to say she did not nap. To top that off I walked in on her naked, poop diaper in the floor and my sweet,sweet baby holding the wipes saying "I DID IT!" My question is what happens next? Yes, I know that it is time for the dreaded toddler bed, but is that the end of peaceful naps and sleeping past 7am? But all that aside, it is no excuse for my AWFUL behavior today. My sweet, handsome, loving hubby called to tell me something funny to "cheer me up" and I could not laugh, not even an "Awww sweetie that is funny, thanks for thinking about me". I did call to tell him I am sorry and I am cooking his fav for dinner. But still no excuse for my behavior. Ok, I think that is enough ranting about this day. Time to shake it off and thank GOD for all my blessings (even at 6am, with no nap and poop in the floor)!

Elizabeth! Don't eat the crayons!

Ok, so what I want to know is why Elizabeth cannot color without eating crayons? I know they have go to be gross. But it never fails when we pull out the colors or are out to eat at a restraunt that gives the kids a page to color and crayons she will eat the crayons. When I say eat the crayons I mean there is no crayon left, she has blue, red or whatever color teeth and there are bits of crayon around her mouth. I think next time we go out to eat I am just going to order her a plate of crayons with a side of ketchup, which she dips EVERYTHING in! So of course I had to snap some pics....

Long Time, No Blog....

So, it has officially been almost two years since I have blogged. But I guess that is what happens when you have three kids. SO here I am, again, trying this blog thing. I have no idea what I am doing but here we go!
We just had the best, crazy, busy, fun, hectic etc. etc. etc. week. Casey was on vacation so we went to the beach the first part of the week. LOVE the beach, love the sun, love the fun the kids have, HATE the fact we had to go to Panama City Beach. I really should not complain, we did not have to pay for the condo because we went with my mom and stepdad. But when you ride down the road and look to the left at what you think is just another surf shop and the name on the building is "Condom Knowledgy" you know where you are, I'm just sayin. But the fact we were at the beach and our kids are not old enough to realize where we were made it all okay. The kids love the ocean, sand and everything about the beach so at the end of the day our location did not matter! Pictures to be posted later. For now I guess I must break my Mother's day vow to not get off the couch and kiss the three amazing reasons I get to celebrate Mother's day goodnight!
